I have had one south Philly dude tell me how this is not the spot.

Note, nearly every claimed version of a cheesesteak outside of this city resembles nothing that is a cheesesteak. Not at all the same thing, or even an decent interpretation.
And calling it a "Philly" as one national fast food chain does, well that just offends the entire population of this city...
