Turkey Day
As is custom, here, I recognize Turkey day with our standard style post.
This year, we have imposed a strict ban on guests of vague acquaintance, salami and Woodbridge wines - due to the still traumatic developments caused by those, last year, on this day.
Have a good day.

Bound
So, sure, it's a post about Kanye...
I apologize right outta the box for that.
His whole Yeezus drop has been getting press for perhaps being big concept art stuff.
Along with, maybe, his whole schtick...
Which, I am not sure I want to get into.
Not because I don't say I could dive pretty deep into the topic, because I could.
Just not sure I want to swim in that toilet bowl right at the moment...
So, I am posting this.
The original West video is goddamned funny, and I can't tell if that is intentional.
I might guess not, because the dude seems to take himself pretty seriously.
But then, boom, there is this parody video...
Maybe too soon to not be known about by Kanye.
Or maybe Franco and Rogan just jumped on it, because it deserves the response.
Anyway, the combination of the two videos side by side, for me, elevates the whole deal to high art.
Neither video lives at that altitude, singularly. Only the combination, both together.
The mirror starts reflecting back on itself, and an infinite loop of absurdity develops...

The View From Here
I am not sure if my perception of reality is becoming more abstract, or if reality has become a parody of itself.

Yikes Trike
So, I got this wicked airplane engine, some bits from a salvaged motorcycle, an old kitchen chair and some drag slicks in the shed...
What should I do?
(I need more friends like this guy.)

Food Mind Dump
I haven't really rambled on about food for some time here.
Not sure why...
My schedule has occupied evenings a lot, lately, so sneaking out for a snack hasn't been happening, maybe.
Been into tweaking on things I make, as well. You know, remaking things for a couple weeks to see if I can make 'em better.
Also, I feel like writing about food is dumb. Just this moment, in my head.
I read too many bits, from too many different sources, in the last few months using the word umami, so now I hate food writing.
Food writing people, just ease off on the umami talk. We get it. Just shut up about it 'til ramp season, maybe. Give me a break...
Whatever.
Here are some new favorite spots-
This veggie joint, The Grange, is really good. It's vegetarian and really good, which just usually isn't the case. Food with flavor, excellent beverage list, service on point. This feels like a place that should be on the other coast, honestly.
Our new fav pizza steez, Figidini. You know, all of the current pizza place buttons are pushed here. Wood fired, warm environment, another spot with a well curated booze selection. Anyway, I like this place. Husband and wife effort, you can feel that every bit has been considered.
The more famous place on this list, I guess, is Farmstead. The chef has gotten some attention, deservedly so. They do a lot of meat and cheese board action, plus more dinner plate style cooking. They have a little shop too buy stuff for home, as well, so a tiny retail/restaurant vision. Another place with a great wine list.
So, maybe you catch the theme of the food scene here in Providence.
I dig all three and have hit 'em up more than once...
Finally know more than three decent places to eat here.

Two Wheels Tuesday-Bonus Edition
Hey, that's my bike edition...
I haven't posted much on this here, not out of secrecy, but because I move at speeds on par with sloths and snails with my own projects.
Anyway, I got the seat back from the leather guy today, which was the last big aesthetic part of the puzzle.
So here is a pic...
It's not especially special, or awesome, or on trend, or near a trend.
Just been trying to do my thing...
Which is undefined and slightly off most other folks thing.
Maybe...
It's just supposed to be fun and practical.
Sorta,
Some shit to blast around on and pretend I am cool...
Still a bit of stuff on the list.
Little fittings and fussy shit...
Snow fell this morning, so my sense of urgency is a bit low.
I might ride it this year, if I manage to take my hands out of my pockets...

Last Nights Dream
Not actually from last night...
Another one of those sorta television show dreams...
The show was like your standard cop drama thing.
You know, Law & Order kind of thing.
But then the turn is that the cops are actually deranged killers.
So that catch some guy and start torturing him...
Cutting on the guy, burning him with an iron.
You know, bad guy stuff.
Then, perhaps because my subconscious decided that was too heavy...
We go to commercial.
Yeah, a commercial break in my dream about a TV show.
It was for Peasantettes.
Which were like a kibble for all your impoverished rabble.
Just one Peasantette a day meets all their nutritional needs, apparently.
At a much lower cost than actual food.
There was a jingle and everything.

The Sky
The sky, here, was especially compelling this past weekend.
Fall colors get all the press, but if those trees were juxtaposed with a dull gray backdrop I don't think people would give 'em too much thought...
It's the fire orange and gold vibrating before that big blue sky that makes things electric.
Anyway, here are pictures of the sky, taken in various countries, so that you might consider the variety of it's looks.
