Sluts and Whores

So while everybody shouts back and forth about the whole Limbaugh-Fluke-slut deal, which is pretty reprehensible, I am going to mention one point...

Dudes like Blunt and Boehner intend to circle back for another go at the legislation.  Legislation that is flawed and absurd in basis and application.

While it is rude of Limbaugh to call Fluke a slut, the thing that everybody should be even more pissed off about is this initiative by conservatives to degrade women's access to basic healthcare.  That is what we are talking about here, and it is a lot bigger than simpleton, high school insults...

Here is Fluke delivering her opening statements, in case you have only heard the mass media coverage, insults, outrage and backlash...

It only is ten minutes.  I would venture you have already heard more than ten minutes of bullshit on the subject, so why not hear what Fluke actually said?

On a separate subject, why isn't anybody talking about the Michigan GOP mess?

Not the bit about Dem's jumping party lines to impact the vote, because that is even acceptable for Mr. Mitt by  his own admission.

No, I am talking about the state organizers moving to change the rules regarding delegate allocation after the voting was done?

I mean it is pretty clear that somebody wants Romney to be the candidate, but changing the rules of the game after the public vote seems a it, you know, wrong.  The change in rules allowed party leaders to assign one of the floating convention delegates to Romney rather than Santorum, thus preventing a tie in terms of nominating delegates.

I guess I don't care if the GOP digs up the mummified corpse of Reagan and runs it in the election, so this kind of shiftiness doesn't impact me much, now - but changing the rules on your own game, after mustering the core to vote for the least pathetic candidate seems just tacky, doesn't it?
