That's a lot of negative vibes, man...
There have been a lot of negative vibes all over, lately.
That whole euro tour, man, that was just one discouraging moment after another.
The stabbings up in Portland...
I could post about any number of depressing things...
Just don't have the head space for all those negative vibes, right now, man.

Dog Food
Care to know what my current food peeve is?
It's "bowls."
Sure, they have been around for a bit.
KFC had one of the first I remember, with mashed potatoes and crap.
Those Chipotle burrito bowls.
(Because I guess the tortilla is just to much when ordering food by the pound. And that is gonna get me started on calling torillas wraps, too. Those are not "wraps" people. Look at them, they are clearly tortillas with perhaps some chlorophyll.)
Anyway, back on the left coast bowls are big.
I walked past a restaurant over the weekend whose whole schtick is bowls.
There is one on our list of places to try, which I resist at present, on principle.
Because of the bowl.
I don't know, man, it just bugs me.
It seems like lazy cooking and presentation.
Or I don't know...
Sure I get deconstruction and reformatting ingredients, I understand all of that.
I, maybe, just want a little more execution than what gets put into what I serve the dogs...
Let's just try to be civilized people, a bowl is only a half step away from a trough.
Have some dignity.

Never
Wait, what?
He goes to Israel, meets up with the PM of Israel, then at a photo-op for the press he say he never mentioned Israel to the Russians?
Regarding the source for classified information he spilled to the Russians...
Dude, you are doing it right now, you are mentioning Israel right now, while you say you never mentioned Israel, from Israel

Snacks
OK, so here is a dumb transition topic of conversation for you: Lunch.
You know, I moved, across the country...
Opposite side of the continent.
I still work for the same folks, so I follow their regular schedule.
It's an early start and that would seem like the hardest part to deal with...
Starting my work day at six in the morning.
But no, that hasn't been an issue at all, really.
Sure, I wouldn't mind lounging in bed longer, but no big thing.
The hard part about that schedule is eating.
First, maybe it's because of the long days, the altitude shift or whatever...
I seem to always be hungry.
Second, what kind of eating schedule goes well with that?
My peers are off to lunch about the time I am ready for cereal.
Cravings for random foods kick in about the time most restaurant kitchens are doing prep work.
First world problem, for sure.
Thought I would share...
It's 9:00 AM here and I am craving some Thai noodles.

Ha!

In what has to be the most comedic global political move in history, Putin is offering to provide transcripts of Russia's diplomatic meeting with Trump to congressional investigators.
“If the administration of the United States deems this possible, we will be ready to provide a transcript of the Lavrov-Trump meeting to the U.S. Senate and Congress,” Putin told reporters during a news conference with visiting Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. Putin added, “it will happen if the U.S. administration wishes so.”
That is from the WaPo, here is the story.
Of course the caveat is that the administration has to ask for them.
Which is just another layer of comedy gold...
Good stuff Vlad, seriously.

Neighborhood
Twitch is streaming all of the Mr. Rogers episodes as some sort of fund raiser for PBS.
Wouldn't you like to watch 866 episodes of Mr. Rogers?

De La
Yeah, how about a post about almost seeing De La Soul?
Well, that doesn't make for a good story.
They were booked for a thing, here in Bend, on Saturday.
Of course I have to show up for that, right?
The stage was less than full, as most of the group had some travel delays...
We got Plug-1 and somebody to run a laptop.
Which was, you know, better than nothing.
Dude did his bit from "Me Myself and I" which was pretty funny, given the situation.
And he had everybody put their hands in the air, for maybe three more songs.
I guess I can be satisfied by that...
It reminded me of this documentary thing.
It is worth a watch, maybe...
If you are in to that sort of thing.

C'mon
So, Yates, Flynn, Comey...
A reporter was arrested for asking questions of a cabinet member.
The press secretary answering late night questions from behind a hedge.
Scientist fired from the EPA review board...
White House folks deleting old press releases from the internet (like that works).
Nepotism amok.
Pick your bitch and add it to the list, because it can go on, and on.
I mean, seriously...
Is this what we are reduced to?
That shining city on a hill sounds more like a burning dumpster in a back alley, huh.

Boston Strong
I guess Boston isn't quite strong enough to make a stand against racist fans in their stadiums...
Not really new news, but the volume of press coverage is something.
Even if the lip service out of Fenway is disappointing.
I might recommend this article on the subject.

May Day
Yeah, so it's May Day.
Are you more of a dance around the Maypole kind of person?
Or an International Workers Day type?
Do people even do that Maypole thing anymore?
Somebody must be doing that somewhere, right?
Twirling ribbons while wearing special, little outfits and whatever.
How about that Workers Day bit?
You don't see too many marches for the working stiffs, really.
Maybe those Fight for $15 deals count?
I guess those count.
I think Trump declared today Loyalty Day, as well.
Given the measure of the first one hundred with that guy...
The application of May Day as a distress call seems to also work, today.
Stop trying to make Loyalty Day a thing, dude.
So, happy May Day...
If you are down with the May Day thing.
