Support
You can take my guns from my cold dead hands...
After I have been shot, mauled and partially eaten by my gun toting bear.
Just remember, that gun toting bear is probably just taking a nap after snacking on my 2nd Amendment loving carcass.
And I vigorously support and defend his right to use deadly force (if necessary) to defend his claim to my corpse and the gun in my lifeless hand.
Just like our founding fathers intended...

Falafel Friday
Man, could I go for a bit of falafel right now...
Or maybe a gyro.
Perhaps a gyro with some extra falafel added.
And a side of fries.
I'm hungry.
This is a dumb post.

High Brow
Gonna go ahead and class this place up with a moment of Mozart appreciation.
For some reason, this makes me want to watch some Bugs Bunny cartoons...
Mercury Retrograde
I am not typically one to go in for astrology type stuff. The whole deal seems rather suspect to me...
Alternately, I note that a shit ton of folks I know are also waist deep in deep hassle situations right now...
And I seem to be, as well.
Coincidence, correlation, connection?
Perhaps it's that misery/company thing.
Though to be honest, I don't really advise that anyone try to be in my company as of late.
It is not a pleasant vibe being emitted from my psycho-cosmic-astral-aura, or what ever...
Two vet trips, which were expensive enough that I don't even want to talk about them.
Week three with a trip to a tire store. Why does the universe hate my tires?
Some random broken things.
General weird technical issues with work stuff.
Things just seem more difficult the past few weeks.
So, I think I am blaming some jabber about a planet being in retrograde.
I want to blame something, dammit...
That's the best thing I can come up with.

Armor Amore
It moves more readily than I thought...
And is really noisy.
I suppose that there isn't a lot of sneaking around in a shiny metal suit, anyway.

Thrasher Thursday
Hey, remember that time he got and stage and talked to a chair for twenty minutes?
Yeah, I do too.
(I still grapple with how to fit that into the construct of politics/pop culture/contemporary media/art. I think it was performance art, but I don't think Eastwood would acknowledge that angle. Is it art if the creator denies the label "art"?)

This Place
I may have mentioned previously that I am often confused by the local scene here.
Let me just illustrate where some of that comes from...
This is Buddy Cianci, mayoral candidate for the city of Providence.
The guy has been mayor here twice, with those combined terms adding up to more years than any other local mayor.
Those two stints as mayor both ended because of resignation related to a felony conviction.
The first one for assault, because sometimes you gotta whoop ass I guess...
The second for racketeering, with indictments for conspiracy, witness tampering, extortion and mail fraud.
Well reported incidents of generally shady deals under his watch.
He has been quoted bragging about some of those deals, like the time a fire department insurance plan was picked based on who won a game of pinball.
Buddy is hoping to get behind that desk again.
Currently leading the polls by six points.
Folks here seem to love the guy...
So, there is a little peek into the local vibe for ya.
(For the record, I fully support the efforts of Mr. Cianci in his bid for reelection. All of the other candidates are probably some of those reptilian-space-alien-jihadists that mean to destroy our way of life, that you hear about in the darker corners of the internet. I shun them and put all backing behind this guy, because, after all, I am going to be living here for a bit and I don't want to be on this dude's bad side. Vote Cianci!)

Etiquette
You know, the internet is a rather gauche place...
And here at prettynotgood, we want to help you out.
Provide some guidance in this vast electronic, heathen filled, shit pit...
Maybe you are gonna actually get off your screen view of the world and actually go outside to interact with real people...
In person.
You are going to need to know some of the rules about dealing with those people, the real ones, out there in the world...
Here are some tips from the book Etiquette, by Emily Post.
(It would be good form for me to credit whoever did the cartoon, but I just found on the web, somewhere. Sorry cartoon person, my bad.)
