I am a fan of Franz Kline.
Some people don't get art like this.
Most people don't get how I can extrapolate the aesthetic appreciation of something like this into a thought process about making a part for a hotrod.
It is all about the use of space.
See, in that painting you are looking at a pretty stark use of positive/negative space.
The tension of the back and the white, balanced on one another.
Most cool stuff kind of locates itself in the world around it, relates itself through the space it occupies or doesn't.
Just like the back and white paint on Franz Kline's canvases.
Maybe I just think too much.
