Clothes

Went to the RISD Museum this weekend, specifically to see an exhibit featuring the work of fashion designer Todd Oldham.

Sure, that sounds out of character for me...
Perhaps.


I found it pretty fascinating and illuminating.
The construction details were amazing.
Color, patterns, textures, all that...


What really struck me as an odd take away?

Oldham is probably a really funny guy.
When was the last time you looked at an article of clothing and thought "I bet the person who designed this has a great, clever sense of humor."  (Not including novelty or graphic t-shirts, here.)
