Last Nights Dream
Haven't done one of these for a while...
I was walking around in my garage, looking for something.
Not the garage here and not even what I would call a "dream garage" by the way...
There was a '57 Chevy in there, a project.
The primered body was off the frame and I was de-pro-streeting the thing.
There was an Impala in there, partially covered.
Not my old one, but also white, it was a '63.
I remember that it had a panel paint job, but the panels were just different flakes and pearls, over white. Subtle and cool.
I will have to remember that...
The thing I was looking for, that turned out to be a jello mold thing.
Yeah, jello mold.
After finding it, I went into the house and started experimenting with a coffee jello idea.
And made a bunch of coffee jello desserts...
So, that is the sort of stuff I dream about...

Weiner!
Really, this NYC mayoral election cycle has to be the moment every headline writer has waited their entire career for.
And then to have that job for a rag like the Post, oh man...
NYC is just gonna get pounded by big, bold Weiner mastheads.
Again and again.
I've been cracking up on this, since he announced, because I am about as mentally developed as a 14 year old.
It's funny 'cause his name is Weiner.

Mullins Monday
That whooptydoo chopper show is coming up, on the other coast.
They always have the invited dudes make this video...
It's sorta fascinating to hear folks that make stuff you appreciate, talk about making stuff.

Pettibon
Hey, here is a bit about Black Flag and the art that went along with that band.
Pretty cool stuff, if you are a fan of any of that...

Wiener Wednesday
Wiener.
Wieners.
Hot wieners...
That is what the hot dogs are called, here.
Hot wieners.
Wiener is a weird word.
Wieners are maybe the tacos of east coast food...
I don't know.
What?

Two Wheels Tuesday
Well, you can only see one wheel.
Kawasaki must have been focused on some sort of lifestyle marketing thing, in '79.
Like a Flash Gordon, surfer, fun time market segment, or something...

Swings
I don't remember the last time I had a go at some swinging.
There is a park nearby, but I guess I never thought to look if it has any tall swings.
I am a grown as man, you know. A tiny swing set is not gonna cut it, for my purposes.
Now in search of some cool swings...

Two Wheels Tuesday
Well, to wheels, plus one extra wheel.
We keep seeing bikes with sidecars...
And KVC keeps suggesting that it seems like a cool idea, and we should have one.
(I know, she is a lovely wifey.)
Probably not what she has in mind, here...
I bet this thingy is a lotta fun, though.
Fun in a terrifying, uncomfortable sorta way.

Market Monday
The future we were promised, compared the the present we live in, is kind of a disappointment.
I wonder if part of being a good futurist requires one to die before the age of one's grandiose vision, lest the failures of scheme torment 'til death.
