Outside of conversations directly relating to sports...
This is the one time of year when people can go around talking about watching balls.
Checking out the ball drop.
People want to get there early, so they can get closer to the balls.
Getting right up in there, for the ball drop.
The ball drop.
Dropping the ball.
Watching Dick Clark and the balls from around the world.
Watching Dick and the balls.
Counting down the seconds.
The ball drop.
I would bet good money that most of you are going to be checking out some balls tonight.
I am mentioning it so that later when you are scoping out those balls...
You think of me.

So, you know, tell folks you love them.
Turn off the TV.
Do nice things for people.
Help old ladies with stuff.
Listen to the stories old guys tell.
Take your dog on a long walk.
Ride a bike.
Play catch with a kid.
For some reason I was thinking it was almost 2012...
You know, the end of the world Aztec bit.
It's only 2011.
What was I thinking?
So, yeah, just go back to doing all of that asshole bullshit you usually do...
Disregard all that stuff I said before.
It's not like the world is going to end in a few days, after all.

The venerable DC-3 turns seventy five today...
One of my more more absurd aspirations is to have my own.
Cars, motorcycles...why not an airplane?
Sure, when selecting a dream airplane, there are racier options...
But for me, the DC-3 seems a lot more cool than some swoopy jet or something.
