So, yeah, you may have heard from another on-line source of KVC and me news...but we got a, uhm, we got a dog.
Which makes perfect sense for folks that own a herd of cats, right?
Sure it does.
We entirely know what we are doing here...
I have been reading about the huge number of Chihuahuas dumped on local shelters, lately. There are so many, here in California, that they are flying them out to shelters around the country - just to give 'em half a chance.
And KVC has been saying she wanted a dog for some time.
We were at the pet store place, to buy catfood-not get a dog, and found this guy.
He was there with a pack of various dogs all freaking out.
Not this guy, though.
He was just standing in the puppy chaos, looking us, wagging.
No yipping, yapping, barking...just wagging.
Some comparison of this dog against some cats showed that our huge feline pals could probably hold their own against the guy.
The worst part about the little guy...
He was saddled with the rather unfortunate name - Mr. Wiggles.
See, he does a lot of wiggling...
With a surprisingly quick paperwork process, some dazed dog supply shopping and thinking about that name...
We came home with Mr. William Wallace Wiggles.
Luckily, Big Willy has about a year and a half of experience at being a dog.
He seems to know the drill, with the going out and all.
Willy is showing KVC and I the ropes of dog ownership.
We'll just say that there is a huge difference in dog and cat socialization.
It has been one whole decade of hitchedness for KVC and myself.
What were you doing ten years ago, today?
The smart people were in Vegas, hanging out with Elvis and us. Really, Elvis was there. We may have been hallucinating, but not about that... It was fun.
I have been having fun with KVC ever since.
The tenth anniversary in traditionally the one for tin or aluminum gifts.
Which kind of sounds like cool old car or motorcycle parts to me...
I should probably count all of the junk I have amassed to date as my tin/aluminum gift, thanks to a decade of spousal patience and support. If an anniversary supercharger were to show up, however, I would not send it back...
